Application Guidelines, Process and Geographic Criteria
Applicants must meet the guidelines spelled out in the Mission Statement.
Applicant must be a recognized non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status from the IRS and be able to provide a copy of their Letter of Determination.
Applicant could expect a site visit from a member of the selection committee.
Applicant must be located in and/or serving within the boundaries of the following Catholic Churches. Saint Catherine of Alexandria (51st Center), All Saints, Saint Martin de Porres and Saint Sebastian.
Individual Applicants will only be considered if the request is for further educational purposes studying at a Catholic School or Institution furthering a Catholic Faith Formation. If approved the funding will be paid directly to the School/Institution in the individual’s name.
Acceptance of an application does not imply nor guarantee approval.
There is no recourse mechanism for appealing a disapproval.
Those Applicants who are disapproved for any reason other than the stated guidelines may resubmit an application no sooner than 1 year from disapproval.
Applications will be accepted July 1 through August 20.
Approval or denial of funding will be notified within 45 days of due date.
Applicants that are approved will be expected to:
- Present a brief overview of their organization and how the funds will be used. This will be a public report to the Parish at the end of a mass that is mutually agreed upon date.
- At the end of the fiscal year in which the funding was provided the organization/Individual will submit a brief written summary of the impact and outcome of the financial support. Those who do not comply cannot be considered for additional funding in the future.
