Saint Catherine Endowment Fund Application Guidelines, Process and Geographic Criteria

All applicants must be directly associated with St. Catherine Catholic Church (51st & Center) or near-by community organizations.

All applicants must meet the guidelines spelled out in the Mission Statement:

The St. Catherine Congregation Endowment Fund is based on our Christian commitment providing funding support to our own parish, our neighbors, our community, and our city.  We are “Here to Stay, Here to Serve.”

Organizational applicants must be a recognized non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status from the IRS and be able to provide a copy of their Letter of Determination.

Individual applicants will only be considered if

    1. They are a parish member or directly related to a parish member, and
    2. The request is for educational purposes studying at a Catholic school or university.

If approved, the funding will be paid directly to the School/Institution in the individual’s name.  Education-related requests outside of tuition will be considered on an individual basis by the Endowment Advisory Board.

Acceptance of an application does not imply nor guarantee funding.

All funding decisions are final. There is no appeal.

Applications will be accepted July 1-31.

Applicants will be notified of approval or denial of funding within 45 days of application deadline.

Applicants that are funded will be expected to report on their progress specifying how the endowment funds were used. Each organization or individual that is funded will submit a brief written summary or oral report to the parish within 12 months of being funded. Those who do not comply may not be considered for additional funding in the future.
