New Sanctuary Movement March – April 4
Friday, April 4, 4:00pm at Red Arrow Park (intersection of Water and State Streets)
Members of the New Sanctuary Movement, Voces, and YES will march from Red Arrow Park downtown six blocks to the ICE office as part of a national day of action in which groups around the country will call on President Obama to stop deportations by expanding his Deferred Action program (which young immigrants won in 2012) to protect from deportation people who would have gotten citizenship under the bill passed in the Senate last year. We will be bringing 1100 flowers to ICE, one for every person who, on average, has been deported each day of President Obama’s administration.
An Auction follow-Up meeting will be on Sunday, April 6th following the 9:00 mass in the Parish Living Room.
Please think about the area you worked in or other areas that you might have observed and be prepared to comment on them in the following manner.
List 3 things about the Auction that you felt went very well.
List 3 things about the Auction the you feel still needs (or needed) to be streamlined, adjusted, scratched and/or … Areas of concern.
We do not plan on discussing the process for making the adjustments at this meeting, just trying to get things on the table.
We will also have a full financial report regarding the expense and income of the Auction.
If you can’t make the meeting could you please email your comments to Mary Brooks, Carl Malischke or Maureen Crowley.
