Bread for the World Webinar
The coronavirus is a hunger issue. The economic fallout from the pandemic is causing hunger to become more widespread in the U.S. and worldwide, and those already experiencing hunger and poverty will be hit hardest. As people of faith, we are called to care for one another and speak out for those in need. Bread for the World’s 2020 Offering of Letters: Better Nutrition, Better Tomorrow asks us to urge our government to support global food and nutrition programs, emergency global health, humanitarian assistance and development of and access to new vaccines, diagnostics and treatments, as well as expanding the Pandemic EBT pro- gram. Visit https://www.bread.org/offering-letters and click on ‘Write To Congress’ to view sample letters to customize and send to your elected representatives.
Bread For The World is also hosting a Midwest Regional Webinar with Rev. Patricia Case, Nicole Schmidt, and Zach Schmidt this Tuesday, November 17, at noon. If you are interested in learning more about Bread For The World and what they have done this year, feel free to register at https://bread.org/blog/2020-regional-webinars-november. Even if you aren’t able to attend virtually, they will e-mail out a recording afterwards to everyone who registers.
