The month of May is all about recycling.

Old Light Bulbs – especially fluorescent bulbs. Bring them to the pancake breakfast on May 17.

Rain barrels – Collect rain from downspouts for gardening and grass.

Christmas Tree Light Cords – The box is in the church vestibule.

Athletic Shoes – The bin is in the church vestibule.

Athletic equipment – Lightly-used items can be taken to Play It Again Sports at:
5042 S 74 Street or 14155 W Capitol Drive.

Compost Bin – for yard and food waste. The composted material becomes soil.

City Recycling Program – Set out your plastics, aluminum and paper/cardboard.

GARDEN PLOT UPDATE:

The garden did beautifully this year.  We harvested greens, green beans, kale, tomatoes and swiss chard for the food pantry. The city donated a rain barrel that was installed on the west side of the convent building and is working wonderfully.
