Facing Racism Group and Subgroup Updates.
April Prayer – Loving Spirit, may we be righteous with ourselves and forgiving of others. We look inward to examine our own thoughts and prejudices and actions. We look outward to see and love the other as ourselves, all of us fully human in our faults yet divine in our potential for caritas and alethias– for grace and truth. We are commanded to love one another, and it is God’s great gift that this love brings to the lover great joy and peace. Peace be with us all. – Fran Gardner

Black Lives are Sacred Public Witness Events – Public Witness Events: Each event lasts 1 hour, starting with prayer and including 8 minutes 46 seconds of kneeling in honor of George Floyd and all those affected by police violence. These events are organized by an informal group of Catholic lay people, and we warmly welcome all who want to stand up for the sacredness of Black lives.
The subgroups are: Prayer, Mass Incarceration, Social Action, Education
